Which one this is: the ULTRA Mastermind by Brendon Burchard and Lewis Howes, sold by GrowthDay. "Ultra" is a common word in event and program names; this page covers only this mastermind.
What Is the ULTRA Mastermind?
ULTRA is the top rung of Brendon Burchard's offers: a year-long program for people with a business or career goal bigger than their current know-how, in the page's words. It mixes in-person mastermind events, where you work in a room with the hosts and other members, with virtual workshops and ongoing online support.
The co-host changed recently. In 2024 ULTRA was run with Ed Mylett and Natalie Ellis and built around four in-person events in Los Angeles. The current edition is led by Burchard and Lewis Howes, a former professional arena football player who hosts The School of Greatness podcast and wrote books of the same name. Mylett's and Ellis's material now comes as bonus vaults instead of live teaching.
What Does ULTRA Include?

The page attaches a dollar "value" to almost every item. Those numbers are marketing anchors, not prices anyone pays for the parts, and they are not a reason to buy on their own.

The main ULTRA page never states a price; it asks you to describe your goals and schedule a call with a "private concierge". On the "previously $50,000" line: the 2026 page says earlier masterminds cost $50,000, while the 2024 version of the page compared ULTRA to a previous "$30,000" mastermind. Treat both as anchors. The number that matters is the one on your enrollment agreement.
How Does the Application and Enrollment Call Work?
You fill in a short form about your goals, then book a call with a member of the team the page calls a "private concierge". In practice this is an enrollment call: its job is to decide fit and to sell the program. That is normal for a high-ticket mastermind, and useful if you arrive prepared. The page also leans on urgency, with lines such as "enrollment closing fast", so decide your budget and your questions before the call, not during it.
Who Is ULTRA For, and Who Should Skip It?
It can make sense if
- You run an established business and your bottleneck is strategy, marketing or leadership, not getting started.
- You will attend all three in-person events and can afford the travel on top.
- You value being in a room with high-achieving peers as much as the teaching.
- Burchard's and Howes's style already works for you, for example from GrowthDay or their books.
Skip it if
- You do not have a business or a clear career goal yet. A mastermind accelerates something that exists; it does not create it.
- $15,000 would be borrowed money or most of your savings.
- You cannot commit to traveling for the in-person events.

- What is the exact price, and what is included in writing?
- Are travel, hotel or meals included for any of the in-person events?
- What happens if I cannot attend one of the in-person events? Is there a replacement?
- How does the 30-day refund work if the first in-person event falls after day 30?
- How many members are in the group, and what kinds of businesses are they?
- How much direct time with Burchard and Howes is there, versus with their team?
ULTRA's official materials, like GrowthDay's, mention large figures about the hosts' own success, such as a "$200 million" business and six-figure speaking fees. Those describe the hosts, not what members achieve, and GrowthDay's terms state that no financial result is guaranteed.

One of GrowthDay's ULTRA pages lists $1,500 a month, or a single payment of $15,000, described as saving 16%. The main ULTRA page does not show a price and asks you to apply and book a call instead. Over twelve months, the monthly option works out to $18,000.
