TL;DR

HighLevel (GoHighLevel) replaces a stack of tools, CRM, funnel builder, email and SMS marketing, calendars, payments and automation, with one platform built so agencies can run it for their clients. It has three public plans: Starter at $97 a month, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, all with unlimited users and contacts. Messaging, phone and most AI are billed by usage on top. There is no free plan and no refund, but there is a 14-day trial, or 30 days through its live bootcamp, both with a card. Founded in Dallas in 2018.

Which one this is: HighLevel, the CRM and marketing platform at gohighlevel.com, also sold under the name LeadConnector. Not related to other companies called High Level.

What Is GoHighLevel, in Plain Terms?

HighLevel is software that runs the marketing and sales side of a small business from one login. A lead fills in a form on a funnel page you built in HighLevel, lands in the CRM, gets an automatic text and email, books a call on your HighLevel calendar, receives a reminder, pays an invoice through HighLevel payments, and is asked for a Google review afterwards. Every step is a HighLevel feature, connected by workflows.

The second half of the idea is what makes it different from HubSpot or ClickFunnels: HighLevel was built for agencies. One agency account holds many sub-accounts, one per client, each with its own contacts, pipelines, funnels and phone numbers. The agency can put its own brand on the app and offer it to its clients as part of its services. So HighLevel is both a CRM for your own business and a platform for serving clients, and which of the two you need decides which plan fits.

The name causes confusion. The company is HighLevel; "GoHighLevel" comes from its domain, gohighlevel.com, and is what most people search for. LeadConnector is the brand it uses for its mobile app and messaging services.

Who Is HighLevel Actually For?

  • Marketing agencies that manage leads, ads follow-up and reviews for local businesses. This is the core customer, and most of the product is designed around it.
  • Coaches, consultants and course creators who want funnels, email, booking, payments and a course area in one place instead of five subscriptions.
  • Local service businesses such as clinics, gyms, home services and dental practices, which live on missed-call text back, appointment reminders and reviews.
  • Agencies that want to offer the software to clients under their own brand, with SaaS Mode on Agency Pro.

Who should probably skip it

  • A solo creator who only needs a newsletter and a sales page: cheaper tools do that well.
  • Anyone who needs a refund window before committing money.
  • Teams without time to learn and configure a large system; HighLevel rewards setup work.
  • Enterprise sales teams that need deep reporting and forecasting, where HubSpot or Salesforce are stronger.

How Much Does GoHighLevel Cost?

PlanMonthlyYearlySub-accountsWhat it adds
Starter$97$970Up to 3The full core toolset, unlimited users and contacts
Unlimited$297$2,970UnlimitedUnlimited clients, rebilling usage at cost, basic API
Agency Pro$497$4,970UnlimitedSaaS Mode, automatic client accounts, rebilling with markup, advanced API
EnterpriseCustom quoteUnlimitedSuccess manager, premium support, white-label app and HIPAA included

Yearly billing is ten months' price for twelve. The plan fee is only part of the bill: email, SMS, calls and most AI are paid from a prepaid wallet that recharges automatically. A single business sending a few thousand emails and a few hundred texts adds roughly $10 to $40 a month; an agency with many clients can add hundreds, which it can pass on to them. Our full HighLevel pricing breakdown has the usage rates and worked examples.

Which HighLevel Plan Should You Choose?

Starter ($97) if you run one business, or you are an agency testing HighLevel with one to three clients. It has the same core features as the bigger plans; the limit is the number of sub-accounts.

Unlimited ($297) once you have more than three clients, or you want to rebill each client for their own email and SMS usage and use the API. Most working agencies end up here.

Agency Pro ($497) only if you intend to sell HighLevel as your own software: SaaS Mode creates client accounts automatically when they pay you, and lets you mark up the usage you resell. If that is not your model yet, it is money spent on features you will not use. See how SaaS Mode and white label work before choosing it.

A practical rule: start on the smallest plan that fits today. Upgrading inside the account is immediate, and the trial lets you test the features without paying for the tier.

What Does the HighLevel CRM Include?

Every plan, including Starter, gets the same core toolset. The main pieces:

  • CRM and pipelines: contacts, companies, tags, custom fields, opportunities on drag-and-drop pipelines, smart lists.
  • Unified inbox: email, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram messages and web chat in one conversation view.
  • Funnels and websites: a drag-and-drop builder for pages, funnels, blogs and online stores, with forms, surveys and quizzes.
  • Email and SMS marketing: campaigns, templates and two-way texting through its own LeadConnector phone system.
  • Calendars: booking pages, round robin across team members, reminders and no-show follow-up.
  • Workflows: the automation engine that connects everything, with triggers, conditions, waits and actions.
  • Payments: invoices, text-to-pay, subscriptions, order forms and products, connected to Stripe and other processors.
  • Reputation: review requests and replies for Google and Facebook.
  • Courses and communities: memberships, course hosting and a community area for clients or students.
  • Social Planner and Ad Manager: scheduling posts and managing Facebook and Google ads from inside the platform.
  • Mobile app: the LeadConnector app for messages, calls and pipelines on the go.

The honest caveat: breadth is the selling point, and depth varies. The CRM, workflows and calendars are strong; the website builder and reporting are good enough rather than best in class.

Is There a GoHighLevel Free Trial?

Yes, two versions, and both require a credit card. The standard trial is 14 days on any plan from the official pricing page. HighLevel also runs a 30-day trial tied to its live bootcamp: a free 60-minute Zoom session on weekdays at 11am Central time that walks you through six "quick wins". The sessions are live and not recorded.

Three things to know before starting. Billing begins automatically when the trial ends. Usage such as SMS and email can be charged to your wallet during the trial. And HighLevel may close accounts that chain one trial after another. Our guide to the HighLevel free trial covers how to avoid surprise charges and how to cancel.

What Is LeadConnector, and Why Is It on My Bill?

LeadConnector is a HighLevel brand, not a separate company. It is the name of the default mobile app (listed as "Lead Connector" in the app stores) and of the phone, email and messaging services inside HighLevel: LC Phone and LC Email. Many businesses meet it for the first time as a charge on their card or a sender name in a text.

If you did not sign up for HighLevel yourself, the charge usually comes from an agency that resells HighLevel to you under its own name. In that case the agency, not HighLevel, handles your billing and support. If you did sign up, the charges are your plan and the usage recharges of your wallet. Either way, the account owner can see every line in the billing section of the account.

Does HighLevel Have AI Features?

Yes, and they are sold as the AI Employee. The Growth tier costs $50 a month per sub-account and covers a set amount of Conversation AI replies, Voice AI minutes and agent runs; the Unlimited tier costs $97 a month per sub-account. Without a subscription, the same tools are charged per use. Some AI is free: the funnel and email AI builders and the knowledge base.

Conversation AI answers leads by chat and text, Voice AI answers phone calls, and the agents can book appointments and update the CRM. Since May 2026 Voice AI is billed per minute in separate parts, which changed the math for heavy users. Our HighLevel AI Employee guide has current prices and cost examples.

GoHighLevel Review: What Is Good and What Is Not?

This section is based on public reviews, app store ratings, HighLevel's documentation and its terms, not on a paid account of mine. In September 2026, HighLevel rated 4.9 on Trustpilot from about 15,000 reviews, around 4.6 on G2 and 4.2 on Capterra from 89 reviews, where users scored ease of use and customer service 3.7 out of 5 each. The Trustpilot number deserves context: HighLevel actively asks its users for reviews, which pushes the score up. The Capterra sub-scores are closer to what long reviews describe.

What users praise

  • Replacing five to ten subscriptions with one, at a flat price with unlimited users and contacts.
  • Workflows that automate follow-up end to end.
  • The agency model: sub-accounts, snapshots to clone a setup for each new client, and rebilling.
  • Fast release pace and a large community sharing templates.

What users complain about

  • A steep learning curve and an interface that can feel crowded.
  • Bugs after updates, given how often features ship.
  • Support quality that varies between tickets.
  • Usage and AI bills that are hard to predict.
  • No refunds.
  • A mobile app weaker than the desktop version: in September 2026 the Lead Connector app rated 4.5 on the App Store but 3.8 on Google Play.

My opinion: for an agency, or a business ready to invest a few weeks of setup, HighLevel is good value, because one flat fee covers what would otherwise be several tools. For someone who wants something simple working by tomorrow, the same breadth becomes friction.

How Does HighLevel Compare With ClickFunnels, HubSpot and Kajabi?

ClickFunnels is the stronger pure funnel builder with a 30-day money-back guarantee, but limits contacts and workspaces by plan; HighLevel includes a full CRM, texting and unlimited contacts at a similar price. HubSpot starts far cheaper per seat and has better reporting, but its price climbs steeply with contacts and seats. Kajabi is better for selling courses and memberships and has a refund guarantee, but it is not an agency tool.

These are my own opinions from public information, not HighLevel's. Detailed comparisons: HighLevel vs ClickFunnels and HighLevel alternatives, including Systeme.io and Kartra.

How Do You Get Started With HighLevel?

  1. Pick the trial: 14 days from the pricing page, or 30 days with the live bootcamp if you want guided setup.
  2. Choose the smallest plan that fits; the trial lets you test it before the first charge.
  3. Set up your first sub-account, or load a snapshot, a ready-made setup for your niche.
  4. Connect your domain, email and phone number. Texting to US numbers requires A2P registration, which takes days, so start it early.
  5. Build one workflow that matters, such as missed-call text back or form follow-up, before adding more.
  6. Decide before the trial ends. If it is not for you, cancel from the account in time, since fees are not refunded.

GoHighLevel: Common Questions

What is GoHighLevel used for?

HighLevel (often called GoHighLevel, after its web address) is an all-in-one sales and marketing platform. Businesses and agencies use it to capture leads with funnels and forms, manage them in a CRM and pipelines, follow up by email, SMS and calls, book appointments, take payments and automate the whole process with workflows.

How much does GoHighLevel cost per month?

Starter is $97 a month, Unlimited $297 and Agency Pro $497, with yearly billing at $970, $2,970 and $4,970. Email, SMS, phone and most AI features are charged on top by usage, so the real monthly bill is higher than the plan price.

Is there a free version of GoHighLevel?

No. There is no free plan. HighLevel offers a 14-day free trial, and a 30-day trial on its bootcamp page, both requiring a credit card. The subscription starts automatically when the trial ends.

What is LeadConnector?

LeadConnector is HighLevel's own brand for its default mobile app and for the phone, email and messaging services inside the platform. If you see a LeadConnector charge or app, it belongs to HighLevel, or to an agency that resells HighLevel to you.

Is GoHighLevel good for beginners?

It can be, but expect a learning curve. The platform does a lot, and reviewers on Capterra rate its ease of use 3.7 out of 5. Beginners do best starting from a ready-made template, called a snapshot, and using the free onboarding HighLevel offers during the trial.

Can I use HighLevel for my own business, not an agency?

Yes. Coaches, consultants, local businesses and course creators use HighLevel to run their own marketing. The Starter plan is usually enough for a single business, since it includes up to three sub-accounts.

Does GoHighLevel offer refunds?

No. HighLevel's terms state that fees are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from your account, and the service runs until the end of the period you paid for, so the trial is the time to decide.

Who owns GoHighLevel?

HighLevel is a private company founded in 2018 in Dallas, Texas, by Shaun Clark, its CEO, together with Varun Vairavan and Robin Alex.

Is GoHighLevel Worth It, in One Paragraph?

If you are an agency, or a business owner willing to set things up properly, HighLevel is worth it: one flat fee from $97 a month replaces a CRM, funnel builder, email and SMS tool, scheduler and payment system, with unlimited users and contacts. Budget for usage on top, expect a learning curve, and use the trial seriously, because there are no refunds. If you need something simple, or a refund window, look at the alternatives first. The official HighLevel pricing page (paid link) lists the current plans.

How this was assessed: this page is based on HighLevel's official pricing page, its help center articles on pricing and usage, its terms of service, public ratings on review platforms and app stores, and the pages that currently rank for these searches, all read in September 2026. It is not a report from inside a paid account, and it does not claim to be.
